SUMMARY JOB DESCRIPTION

• To assist the Food and Beverage Director in managing the food and beverage department, to achieve business goals and ensure guest satisfaction. 

• Reports directly to the Director of Food and Beverage 


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• To assist the Director of Food and Beverage in monitoring standard of service and food and beverage quality. To work with the Outlet and Banquet Managers, taking corrective action where necessary.

• To be present in the operation during the service periods in order to assist outlets and banquets, monitoring service standards and guest satisfaction.

• To assist the Director of Food and Beverage in ensuring that all company and hotel policies and procedures are adhered to.

• To represent the department in the absence of the Director of Food and Beverage.

• Networks within the local community promoting the hotel in a positive manner.

• Monitor and analyze the activities and trends of competitive restaurants, bars and other hotel banqueting department.

• To assist each outlet and banquets in the planning and implementation of effective sales and promotional activities to maximize revenues.

• Monitors guest satisfaction scores and identifies areas of opportunity to improve the department.  

• Coaches and develops direct reports in business acumen, enable them to effectively manage their departments. 

• Assist outlets and banquets to prepare detailed training plans, ensuring all sessions are relevant and correctly documented.

• To assist each outlet and banquets in maximizing productivity and employee morale whilst maintaining discipline.

• Ensures strong communication within the food and beverage department. 

• Reviews financial statements to identify areas of opportunity to improve department profitability. 

• To assist the Executive Assistant Manager, F&B in preparing forms and reports.

• To monitor all costs and recommend measures to control them.

• Continually evaluates department operations to identify areas of improvement.  


JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Vietnamese national 
• Fluent spoken and written English
• Excellent communication skills 
• Sound knowledge of food and beverage along with current trends
• Strong leadership skill with ability to develop reports 
• In depth knowledge of banquet operations
• Minimum 5 year experience in the food and beverage field
